IT Hardware Supply, Repair and Spares

Laptops, desktops, printers and peripherals supplied, upgraded and repaired — with spares held for what you run.

In short

IT hardware supply and repair covers procuring computers and peripherals, upgrading existing machines, and diagnosing and fixing faults at component level. ITVEDA supplies laptops, desktops, workstations, printers, monitors, switches and UPS units from Dell, HP, Lenovo and Acer, carries out board-level and component repairs, and performs SSD, RAM and battery upgrades that extend the life of machines still worth keeping. Common spares are stocked against AMC contracts so a failure is resolved rather than ordered.

How it works

The delivery process, step by step

Nothing here is a surprise on the day. Each step has a named output, and you sign off before the next one starts.

  1. 1 · Log the fault

    In progress

Raise it on the helpdesk with the asset tag; we already know the machine and its warranty status.

  2. 2 · Diagnose

    Not started

Remote first, then on-site. Workshop collection only when the repair genuinely needs a bench.

  3. 3 · Quote or cover

    Not started

Under a comprehensive AMC most repairs are covered. Anything outside it is quoted and approved before work starts.

  4. 4 · Repair or swap

    Not started

Repaired from stocked spares, or swapped for a loan unit so the user keeps working.

  5. 5 · Return and verify

    Not started

Machine returned, data intact, and the fault confirmed resolved with the user before the ticket closes.

What changes

What you actually get out of it

  • Users back at work in hours rather than days

  • Ageing machines upgraded instead of replaced where it makes sense

  • One supplier for procurement, warranty and repair

  • Asset history tracked, so repeat offenders get retired

Questions

Hardware & Repair — frequently asked questions

Straight answers, including the cases where the honest answer is that you do not need this service.

Is it worth upgrading an old laptop or should we replace it?

If the machine has an eighth-generation Core i5 or newer and the chassis is sound, an SSD, a RAM increase and thermal servicing usually restore it to comfortable performance for well under a fifth of the replacement cost. Older than that, or with hinge, board or screen damage, replacement is normally the better call and we will say so.

Do you repair on site or do you take the machine away?

On site wherever possible — drives, RAM, batteries, keyboards, docks and most peripheral faults are handled at the desk. Board-level work and screen replacement need a bench, and a loan unit is provided so the user is not idle.

Can you supply hardware in bulk for a new office?

Yes. Bulk supply is quoted with a standard build, asset tagging, imaging and staged delivery to match your fit-out schedule, so machines arrive ready for users rather than in boxes.

Do you keep spare parts in stock?

We stock common spares — SATA and NVMe drives, DDR4 and DDR5 memory, batteries, adapters, keyboards and cables — against the models our AMC customers run. That is what turns a two-week parts wait into a same-day fix.

What happens to the data on a machine you take for repair?

Data is left untouched wherever the repair allows it. Where a drive must be replaced, we image the old drive first and hand back the original media, and nothing is disposed of without your written instruction and an erasure certificate.
